Retiring Sen. Evan Bayh has donated $1 million to help elect Rep. Brad Ellsworth, who is running to succeed him.  “This is a million-dollar vote of confidence in Brad Ellsworth and Indiana Democrats,” Bayh said in a statement released by the Indiana Democratic Party.

More Americans now favor than oppose the health care overhaul that President Obama signed into law Tuesday, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds.

CNN released a new poll on the healthcare bill.  Just 39% favored it, while 59% were opposed.  The key to November, however, may be that 52% either favored the bill or opposed it because it was not liberal enough, while just 43% opposed it because they considered it too liberal.
